Let's Start Talking the Netcaster

SERMON

This morning, our brother Dino begins a two part sermon entitled “Becoming Like Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit” with the text of Rom 8:28-29.

BIBLE CLASSES

In  the  adults  class,  the lesson is  about  Loving God by Fellowshipping with other  believers  with   Acts 2:42 - 47  as  their  text.  The  youths   learn  about Negative  Attitudes  in  their  class  while  the  parable of the Pharisee and the Publican is taught in the children’s class.

CHINESE SERVICE

We had 16 people attending the Mandarin service last Sunday. Among them were four visitors.  This  evening at 5.00 pm we will hear about ”Why is China called the Land of God.”
 

CONGRATS

We  praise  and  thank  God  for granting good results for sister Yin Cheh and other KTAR students like Jesslyn, Lai Meng, Wai San, Wei Wei, Cynthia, Fione, Kerson   and  Yeong  Shuen.  All  of  them  are now   pursuing   their  advance diploma in their respective areas of education.

STUDENT CELL GROUP

Last Wednesday, the  student  cell  group  had  a great start with 26 people in attendance in the regular meeting place.  We thank our Lord for the students who  are  interested  in  studying about Jesus.  The theme for this season that will  end  on  29  July  is  ‘Jesus  The  Way.’   This   week  they  will  study about ‘Introducing Jesus Is the Way.’  Let  us  continue  to  invite students to the cell group meetings.

ENGLISH CLASSES

There  was  an overwhelming response of students of 32 students registering for  the  English class last Thursday. We give glory to our God for providing us with  so  many  students  from  KTAR  and  UTAR.  It is now our opportunity to reach  out  and  help  them  understand  the  Word of God though the English lessons. Their names, mobile contacts, email addresses and other information will  be  emailed to all the brethren to help us to keep in touch with them and show our concern for them.       

AGAPE FEAST

Everyone is invited to the agape feast after worship today. We thank all those who have prepared those food that are laid on the table for our physical body.

MEETINGS

Immediately after the agape feast, the committee members will their monthly meeting in the larger classroom. The ladies will meet in front of the auditorium to have their Bible class. They will study about Tamar - a daughter-in-law of Judah.  

FAMILY CARE GROUP

The monthly family care group will meet on 19 June at the Gan’s residence at 7.30 pm. Please keep this date and time free for more bonding among one another.

GUEST TEACHER

Seah Siow Hwee from the PP church of Christ will be our Bible class teacher for the next two Sundays. After which, he will return on 13 July to preach on 19 and 26 July and help us in the English classes.

Mary Downes (mother of Sharon Lee) - God’s continual healing as she undergoes chemotherapy.

English Classes -pray that God will protect their time so that they will be able to keep their appointments for their English classes.

LST -  for God to protect Kelley and Pat Clowe as they make preparations to be here for the 5th LST session that will begin on 22 June.
