To  all  of  those  who  are visiting with us today, we wish to extend a  warm welcome to you. 

SERMON

Brother C.B. Gan is our first speaker of the year with his sermon entitled “Happy New Year - Let’s Get Back To Our Roots” based on the texts of 1 Cor 9:20-22 and Luke 14:33-35.

BIBLE CLASS

We  begin  the  year with a series of 13 lessons on Practical Christianity. Our first lesson is “Jesus: Who Do You Say I Am?” in our Bible classes this morning. 

AGAPE FEAST

Everyone is invited to stay back for our  agape feast after service today. We thank everyone who prepared the sumptuous food on the theme of Nasi Lemak. 

COMMITTEE MEETING

The men of the congregation will meet and discuss the matters pertaining to the Lord’s work after the agape feast. 

LADIES MEETING

While the men have their meeting in the larger classroom, the ladies will also meet in the front portion of the auditorium.  

YEAR END FELLOWSHIP

We  thank  the   Shees  for  hosting  the  countdown  and  all  those  who attended to make the fellowship a memorable occasion.  

SYMPATHIES

Our heartfelt sympathies to sister Pearly Chong on the passing away of her brother, Ong Chee Nam on 27 December. May the God of comfort be with the bereaved family during this time of sorrow.

 

CONGRATS

Jun Ning obtained A’s in all the seven subjects she took for the recent PMR examinations. We thank God for helping her in her achievements.

Freddie Lai ( from PJCoC) - as he goes for further medical tests for his prostate in 5th February 2009. 

Mr Sia - Kok Pern’s grandfather as he has been diagnosed with a tumour in his intestine. 

Ronald Elambre  – his faith and physical health as he seeks for treatment for his leukemia in the Philippines. 

Frank and Mary Downes (Parents of Sharon Lee) - their health and physical well being. 

Dino Roldan Sr. (Dino Roldan’s father) - steady recovery from his stroke.    

Li Kai Yan (nephew of Lee Sock Mei of Moulmein CoC) - recovery from pneumonia after his stem cell transplant in December 2008
