SERMON

Today,   we  shall  have  our  guest  speaker,  brother  Naveen to preach  a  sermon  entitled  “Dust” based on the text  from Matt 14:22-31. Brother Naveen is from the Seremban congregation.

STUDENT CELL GROUP

Every  Wednesday,  there  is  a  student  cell  group meeting the Gan’s  residence   at   7.30 pm.   This   week’s  study   will   focus  on   Christian  principles   of   love,  courtship  and  marriage.   If  you  know  of  college or university students, do invite them for the cell group meetings. 

THE TREASURER SMILES

The treasurer smiles as members commits to hit the projected collections of RM1,200/-  per week for the last 2 consecutive weeks of November. Thanks to all and let us hit it throughout the final weeks before year end of 2008.  

PLANNED  ACTIVITIES

We encourage our youths to keep 17th -20th December free to be with the Pasir Panjang youths in the programmes to foster better fellowship. Do take a look at the detailed poster at the entrance of the auditorium 

FAMILY  CAMP

This year, the family camp will be at Fraser’s Hill on 21st – 23rd December. The camp theme is “Bonding in Christ”. The speaker for the camp will be Tom Goracke from the Pasir Panjang church.   

Please pay the total camp fees of  RM164/-  to  brother  Victor as early as possible.   

           

APPRECIATION

We would like to thank the Lee family for their generous heart in getting a brand new gas cooker for the kitchen.

Also a word of thanks to Jun Ning for the making of a poster regarding activities of the campus ministry. 

FLORAL DISPLAY

Volunteers  are  needed  to bring flowers each week to grace the Lord’s Table .  A  sign-up  sheet  is posted on the notice board for the first quarter of 2009.  

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Ronald Elambre came for the LST session in September and read extensively  with  Bill Dismuke. He was unable to attend the next scheduled  reading  due  to  his leukemia. He works for a minmal wage   and  now  requires  monetary  aid  for  his  treatment  and other  incidental  expenses  in  his  preparation  to  return  to  the Philippines  for further  treatment.  If  you  could  help,  please let sister Doreen know.

Frank and Mary Downes (Parents of Sharon Lee) - their health and physical well being.

Chong, Tek Liong (father of Victor Chong) - continued improved general health.

Dino Roldan Sr. (Dino Roldan’s father) - steady recovery from his stroke.

Ronald Elambre (LST reader) – seeking further treatment for leukemia  in the Philippines on 1 December.

Li Kaiyan (nephew of Lee Sock Mei) - treatment for 4th stage of leukemia

John Paulo Auvtria (Ronaldo’s friend) - his wife Rowena Bautista’s physical health.
