WELCOME 

To  all  of  those  who  are visiting with us today, we wish to extend a  warm welcome to you. 

SERMONToday’s   sermon   is   the   second   part   of   a   series  of  the study of the Holy Spirit     by   brother   Dino    Roldan   entitled   “The    Holy    Spirit    In    Every Christian.” It is a study to learn of His importance in our life. Find out why do believers receive and need Him and how do we know we have the Holy Spirit. Be encouraged to understand the Holy Spirit’s role in our salvation. 

W.M. CoC  NEWS…….COMMITTEE MEETINGThe   Committee   will   meet  immediately   after  the  lunch  today  to  discuss matters  regarding  the  Lord’s  work.  Let’s  all  make  a point to say a prayer for these men before and as they come together and ask for God’s guidance and will to be done.                     ~ Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts                                     shall be established. (Proverbs 16:3) ~ 

FAMILY CAMP          This  year’s  family  camp  will  be  held at the Methodist Centre in Fraser’s Hill from  the  22nd –  24th of December. The camp fee is RM114.00 per adult and RM104.00 per child. Do register your name on the registration form posted at the back of the auditorium.Brother Steven Shee has more details if you have any questions. 

ENGLISH CLASSESOur  English  classes  are  going  extremely well. Brother Dino has a full tuition schedule for  the  beginning  &  intermediate learners. The lessons are conducted in small groups where  aspects  of  grammar  and  conversation  are  addressed  and  comprehension  is assessed  using  Bible  readings.  The participants thus far are college age students who are  interested  on  improving their speaking and listening skills, and each class runs for approximately 45 minutes a session. If  there  is  anyone  who  would  like to assist in this ministry one or two days a week or just  during  the  school  holidays,  we would be overjoyed to have you on board.  If you would like to know more details on how you can become involved, please enquire with Brother Dino.                                                                                

                                                                                                                     

CAMPUS MINISTRYIt has now been four years since the start of the Campus Ministry here in Wangsa Maju. In celebration of this, an evening full of games and fellowship has been organized for the 20th of August at 7:00pm. A small group has volunteered to assist with the planning and organization of the activities with the hopes of creating stronger ties with the current and former students. All members and guest are encouraged to participate in this fun filled evening.  

 

FLORAL DISPLAY CHARTA sign up sheet is posted on the notice board for all those who would like to contribute flowers for the Lord’s Table during the months of October or November. There are many spaces still available if you possibly missed out on a previous month, just write your name next to the dates that you wish to contribute.

FOUR

SEAS COLLEGE

The third term courses are now available to all those interested in taking time to study God’s word through a structured college program.  The new term begins on August 18th and runs through to November 28th. The courses of study include the ‘New Testament Survey’, ‘Preacher and His Work’, ‘Church History’, ‘New Testament Greek’, ‘Acts of the Apostles’, and ‘The Church of Christ’. For more information on these, please refer to the letter posted on the notice board.

TAR College with a diploma in IT and is seeking for suitable employment in

Kuala Lumpur.
Sister Sharon Lee’s mother, Mary Downes (from

Waco, Texas) is receiving treatment for cancer.
Alexander Suy will be admitted into the Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan today for check-up procedures in regards to his cancer. 

Lau, Soon Oi  (Pooi Lai’s mother) scheduled for operation to remove the cataract of her right eye on Tuesday (12th August) at the

Tun Hussein Onn Eye Hospital. 

Low, Eng Seow (Doreen Low’s father) has been admitted to the

Selayang Hospital and is currently under observation. Requests have been made for all to pray for his recovery so that he may accept Christ and receive salvation.
 

James Baker (father of Cristi Savari) will be undergoing surgery on his spine for the removal of a Neurostimulation apparatus (electronical pain management device). The surgery is scheduled for the 18th of August.
