Let's Start Talking the Netcaster

    WELCOME 

To all of those who are visiting with us today, we wish to extend a  warm welcome to you. 

SERMONBrother Tom Goracke, will be our speaker this morning. His sermon is entitled, “Resurrection of Christ” based on the text of Acts 2:22-36.

WORKSHOP & GOSPEL MEETING This   past   weekend,  Brother  Tom  Goracke  conducted  the  ‘servant leaders’  workshop  and  gospel meeting on The Gospel of Christ’. The sessions  were  well  attended by leaders & their wives as well as other members   of   the   congregation.   We   appreciate   Brother   Tom  for conducting  this  workshop  and for agreeing to substitute for Brother Charles Cook due to his wife, Tamara’s recent surgery. 

WEEKDAY GUESTSThis  past   week,   Goh   Kim  Hua  from  the  Puchong church of Christ along   with   many   brethren   from  the  Pasir  Panjang  congregation dropped   by   to   help   recruit  students  for  the upcoming Let’s Start Talking   (LST)   series.   This   group   visited   neighboring   colleges   & universities   last   Tuesday   and   Wednesday.   A   total   of   fifty-three students  were  registered  for the introductory class. We would like to express  our  gratitude  for  the  time that was devoted in assistance in this campus ministry.                              

CDs & HYMN BOOKSIf you are  interested in purchasing a copy of a praise hymn book with five  CDs,  there  are  a  few  remaining. If you would like a copy, please enquire with sister Jun Ai. 

BACK AT HOME          

The  Savari’s  and  Zachary Lee have returned safely after their holiday visit to their respective families in

Texas. They arrived in

Kuala Lumpur late last Monday evening.

 

WEDNESDAY STUDENT CELL GROUPEvery Wednesday Brother Dino Roldan facilitates a bible study for young adults. This group meets at the home of the Gan’s  at 7:30pm. The theme for the current series of lessons is, “A New Birth”. If you know of anyone who may be searching for a place to study the bible with a group having similar interests, do pass along the invitation to attend.  

 

ENGLISH CLASSES

Beginning & intermediate English classes are available every Tue-Fri to college age students who are interested on improving their communication skills. Classes are arranged according the student’s personal schedules. The duration for each class is approximately 45 minutes per session.

Sia Kok Pern requests prayers in obtaining work in

Kuala Lumpur. 

Mary Downes is responding well to the medication that the doctors have prescribed for her cancer.  

Tamara Cook’s surgery was successful in the repairs needed to relieve the pre-surgery pain and she is now undergoing daily therapy and has even begun walking a little bit each day!  We thank God of all mercy and has been delivered from this painful trial. 

Alexander Suy is suffering from cancer. He will be going for another medical check-up in August to see if he is completely free from cancer.
