WELCOME

To all of those who are visiting with us today, we wish to extend a  warm welcome to you.

SERMONToday’s  sermon  is  entitled “Spiritual Maturity” and the scripture reading is from  Ephesians 4:11-16.  The  focus  of  the  sermon  is, every Christian should desire to mature spiritually.

IJN UPDATEThank  you  to  all  the  participants who attended and helped out ‘behind the scene’ at the IJN visit last Sunday. The Blue Dolphins sang for the children and made  bed-to-bed  visits  to  those  suffering. All glory goes to God for making this time of giving in service a success.            Matthew 25:36 - “I was sick …. and you came to visit me”

TIME WELL SPENTThis  past  Wednesday  (4th June)  we  had ten LST readers attend a ‘Welcome Home Gathering’  held here at the church building.  This event was organized in order to  welcome the college students living in the area back into town as they  begin  their  new  semester.  Some  of  our brethren attended and spent their  time  in fellowship with these students who in turn made appointments to  attend  follow-up  Bible Reading sessions with Brother Dino. Fantastic! We would   like   to   thank   Brother Gan  for  sharing  Bible  thoughts  and  all  the  brethren  who  took  time  out  of  their  busy schedules to support this event.

COMMITTEE MEETINGThe   Committee   will   meet   after   service  today  for  their  regular  monthly meeting.  The  proposed  time  is 1:15-3:15pm (men are asked to gather in the large classroom directly after the shared meal).            Philippians 2:4  -   Each  of  you  should  look  not  only  to  your  own interests, but also to the interests of others.           Romans 14:17 & 19  -  For  the  kingdom  of  God  is  not  a matter  of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,… Let  us  therefore  make  every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.           1 Peter 5:2 -  Be  shepherds  of  God’s  flock  that  is  under  your care, serving as overseers—not because you must,  but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve.                                                      NOTES FROM THE TREASURERThe contribution collection for the month of May did not meet our set target amount. All are encouraged to make every effort to uphold our prior commitment in giving back to God what is due.  If you are interested in a detailed summary of the accounts, please refer to the notice board at the rear of the auditorium.
