SERMONToday’s lesson is, “DESIGNED TO SERVED WITH LOVE” (1 Corinthians 13:1-3). God has given us gifts to use for building others up others and we must remember that these are to be accompanied with love at all times.

The Blue Dolphins will be singing for the children at IJN on Sunday, 1st June 2008 at 3.00-6.00pm. All are asked to join in to bring a little warmth and cheer to these young hearts.

 

 

STUDENT CELL GROUP

We will have a young adult bible study this Wednesday at the Gan’s house. If you would like to be involved, please let Christie and Gan know.

If you know any young adult who may be interested in attending this study of the Bible please extend an open invitation.

 

 

LIFE GROUP

The Chong’s will host the Life Group this Friday, 23rd May at 7.30pm. Brother Dino will lead in the discussion. Do make time to have some bonding with one another in God’s family. For directions to their home please check with Victor or Pearly.

 

 

AGAPE FEASTOur next Agape feast theme is, “All Kinds of Everything”.  If you have already thought of what dish to bring, please inform this month’s food co-coordinator know after service today. 

 

FLORAL DISPLAY - (For months July - September)

We need volunteers who are willing to provide flowers to beautify the Lord’s Table on Sundays during the months of July – September. Kindly sign your name next to the dates that you wish to donate.

 

NOTE FROM THE TREASURER

This past April was a blessed month for the church. We have had a significant increase in the weekly contributions during this time and we applaud everyone’s commitment to giving back to the Lord in thankfulness. Everyone is doing an outstanding job during these times of uncertainty in the world. Please continue to give generously toward the work of the Lord. Thank you to each of  us.

 

LIBRARY NEWSWe are pleased to inform everyone that the church library is almost ready to go. The books are in their place. They will be cataloged this week and be ready for checkout by next Sunday. We will be trying to add new books and videos periodically. Next Sunday, make a point to visit the church library a while and have a look at what is there. 

OUR  SICK ~ PLEASE  REMEMBER  IN  PRAYER 

Continue to pray for Dicky Lian who is undergoing chemotherapy treatment at the Subang Jaya Medical Centre.

 

Li, Kai Yan (Lee Sock Mei’s nephew – Moulmein CoC member) Pray for his salvation and his successful treatment for cancer.

 

Pray for Alexander Suy and his healing of cancer. Also, pray that God will hear his requests & pleas in extending his time here on Earth to be more of service in doing work for Him.

 

Dino Roldan Sr. (Dino Roldan’s father) Pray that Dino Sr. continues to make a steady recovery with physical therapy.

 

James Thong continues to face trials due to his choice of faith and worship. Ask God to provide him with the strength and peace of mind in these difficult times.
