SERMON

Our preacher for this morning is Brother Winston Chong of the Pasir Panjang Church of Christ. His lesson, “Are You Rich In God’s Sight” is taken from Luke 12:13-21. The world calls a person rich when he has amassed much wealth. But, the Bible relates the account of a man who did just that and called him a rich fool. Listen and learn how is it possible for us to be rich in God’s sight.

VISITATION

This week a group of our Wangsa brethren paid a visit to IJN, the Institute Jantung Negara, in efforts to provide prayers and comfort to the parents of suffering infants. If any are interested in joining this prayer team, please enquire with Brother Ganga.

LIFE GROUP

The Roldan family will host the next Life Group meeting on Friday, 25th January at 8:00pm. For directions to their home please see either Dino or Cheryl. All are encouraged to attend.

GREETINGS

Brother Andrew Ganga sends his regards from Wembley Church in London. We have received greetings all the way from Kansas USA. Jeremy and Pam Layden (two of our LST members from last summer) have sent their love to all the Wangsa family.

SEMINAR

We were honored to have Brother Winston, a deacon from the Pasir Panjang Church of Christ, provide a one-day seminar yesterday about ‘The Seven Keys to Financial Freedom’. This seminar aims to provide you with a Christ centered view of how Financial freedom can be obtained.

AGAPE FEAST

A monthly schedule has been drafted to assist meal co-ordinators in organizing our agape feasts for 2008. All members are requested to participate by volunteering in bringing items for these events. Ladies, please check the sign-up roster on the bulletin board at the rear of the auditorium and write in the dish, drink or dessert you will be providing.
For the month of February, the planned meal set is Nasi Lemak.

COMMITTEE MEETING

Committee members, please be aware that the next monthly meeting is set for next Sunday, 27th January immediately after lunch.

BADMINTON

Badminton sessions are postponed for approximately one month and are proposed to resume in mid February. The exact date will be announced once it is confirmed.

Sharon Lee is recuperating after medical treatment at Damansara Specialist Hospital.
Andrew Ganga requests prayer in obtaining a job in London.
Wong, Jia Ern (infant at IJN) is in the intensive care unit (ICU) due to an lung infection.
Yoke Peng & Kenny Wong (parents of Wong, Jia Ern). Pray that this family will recognize God, yearn for salvation and to trust in the power of the Lord.
Tan, K. Won (baby in IJN) is still in the Paediatric ICU for observation.
