Greetings to all of those who are visiting with us today.

SERMON

“The Power Of Bringing”, by Dino Roldan, will be today’s lesson and it is based on the text of John 1:35-42. The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon. The first step Andrew took to lead his brother to Jesus was that he sought him out. We must take the same first step. If we are going to be effective in leading people to Jesus, we must first seek out unsaved people. There is simply no other alternative.

EVANGELISM

Today marks the beginning of the “Each One, Win One” program. All members are encouraged to list one name of a person they would like to bring to Christ and then concentrate on bringing that person to worship regularly. Suggested steps, and tips on how to do this can be found at the rear of the foyer. Let’s all give our support in this initiative.

BADMINTON

January 15th 8:00-10:00pm is the next scheduled time for Badminton at the Taman Melati Community Hall. Come and join our fellow brethren and LST readers for a physical workout! All are welcome.

VISITATION

Several of the brethren visited the infants at IJN several times this past week to bring comfort to their parents and to pray for the specific needs of these children. All brethren are encouraged to visit these precious babes, to offer prayers on their behalf and provide comfort to the families in their time of distress. Visiting hours at IJN are 12:30-1:30pm & 6:30-8:00pm daily.

LIFE GROUP

17 people were present at the Chin’s residence for the Life Group last Friday. This week, the Life Group will meet in the home of brother C.B. Gan and sister Christie on 18 January at 8.00 pm. We shall conclude the book of James taught by brother Dino. All are welcome to our weekly fellowship.

SPECIAL TALK

Brother Winston Chong from the Pasir Panjang church will give a talk on Financial Planning this Saturday, 19 January from 2.00 to 5.00 pm. Do set aside this time to attend this interesting topic of Financial Planning.

THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS

Sharon Lee will be hospitalized at DSH on 14 January for medical treatment.
Frank & Mary Downes (Sharon Lee’s parents) - general health concerns
Wong, Jia Ern (infant at IJN) is out of danger, but let’s do continue to pray for her full recovery.
Yoke Peng & Kenny Wong (parents of Wong, Jia Ern) – to recognize God and yearn for salvation.
Tan, K. Won (baby in IJN) has been operated on for heart surgery, but doctors cannot close the incision due to complications.
Nishan Sababethy -(baby in IJN) – is suffering from a hole the heart. There are concerns that the heart is not pumping enough blood to his brain for it to function effectively.
