About Us
The Wangsa Maju Church of Christ started off as a Campus Ministry outreach of the Petaling Jaya (PJ) Church of Christ. The Church ministered to college students of the Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TARC) in Wangsa Maju, during 2004, through the provision of free English language classes.
Through this ministry, many students attendeding the classes enjoyed the fellowship of Christians and soon began to attend worship services in Petaling Jaya. Due to the distance of Wangsa Maju to Petaling Jaya, the Church that met in PJ decided to plant a new congregation in the Wangsa Maju area. After securing the commitment of four (4) families from within the PJ congregation, to encourage the spiritual growth of TARC students, a site was located to Wangsa Maju.
On September 4, 2005, the Church began it’s first evening worship service at its rented premises in Wangsa Maju. The small family group continued with it’s provision of free English classes at it’s newly refurbished rented facility.
On the 7th of May 2006, the church commenced it’s Sunday morning worship service and witnessed the baptism of two young Christians as a result of God’s blessings.
